Comal County Courthouse was constructed in 1898 out of limestone and is an excellent example of Romanesque revival architectural style. Many additions and upgrades have been made on and around the original structure, but the outside still remains the same. Restored to its 1926 condition, Aztec on the River transports visitors back to the days of silent films and chorus girls. Today the theater welcomes people to take in several documentary films and tour the building, which boasts a two-story, 2,000 lb chandelier, statues, a Aztec Sun Stone, a Wurlitzer organ and much more.
